Everybody I missed seeing growing up! Bonnie Picker said that it was going to be big, but how big is really, really big? How about the following lineup?
Friday, August 25th: Peter Frampton, Credence Clearwater Revisited, and Edgar Winter
Saturday, August 26th: Joe Walsh, BTO, and Electric Light Orchestra Part II.
The casino pipeline is echoing with rumors if you want to read more that Harveys is considering doing the outdoor concert series once a month in the future. I hope so. What a great lineup!
The Lakeside Inn is still the place for great Mexican fare gambling when hungry is not a good idea. If you are playing anything that requires basic thinking 101 in order to win, then you are going to have to refuel and re-energize and naturally, you don’t want to spend all the bankroll on filling the stomach. The new Taberna offers the most reasonable fare available the most expensive item on the menu is only $6.95. Taberna is open from 11 am until 1 am.
Harrah’s Tahoe just spent a total of $30 million on the total make-over. It looks like it, and if you like nice places, you need to go here.
They are opening the Broadway musical, Smokey Joe’s Cafe on July 14th. It looks like Harrah’s is working very hard on bringing all the glamour and magic back to Lake Tahoe. Better yet, they are succeeding at doing just that! They have some really hot dollar slots plus every other denomination you can think of.
Caesars Tahoe still has that Lamborghini Diablo gracing the casino floor, except now it has been made into a 5-quarter machine (Double Diamond, 5-line). You just have to stop and admire this car, sort of a destination resort all by itself. Go ahead, try the slots. Not bad, if I do say so myself!
The Horizon Casino Resort is offering the gambling-weary a chance to laugh after midnight on Thursdays-Sunday midnight in the Golden Cabaret Lounge and Mondays at 8pm and 10pm from June 30th through September 4th. Shows contain adult humor.
GamingGuide needs your help! I have been putting the progressive jackpot amounts online for 161 days straight now by 6 am. If everyone visiting the site would take a minute and fill out the really easy survey attached to the convenient link below the “delivery trucks,” I would really appreciate it.
The responses so far have all been very favorable, but I would like to pile them up and deliver them to the marketing departments in my efforts to get corporate sponsorship so that the GamingGuide can grow up to be what it is intended to be – a full-service one-stop shop for all the Lake Tahoe casinos designed by a gambler for the gamblers in this world. A human place full of fun, laughter, and music, where the corporate edge of the casinos is blurred and softened. I encourage all of your comments, views, opinions, thoughts, and advice.
I have received e-mails from as far away as Siberia, so I guess you could say we truly have “global-ized” Lake Tahoe gambling! Thank you so much for your continued support. Please tell all your friends about us, because word-of-mouth is the best advertising we know of! (Plus, we have no budget, let alone an advertising budget!)
